This is how the composition looked like before I applied the color correction.
I started by putting in an Unpremult node to properly correct the color and the edges. Afterward, I decided to adjust the highlights, shadows, and mid-tones with an Exposure node.
Then I added a Grade node with the aim of simulating the orangeish sunset’s color on the top of the plane and tried to bring up a bit of blue on the shadows.
At the end I added a HueCorrection node to bring up the parts which were supposed to be illuminated by the sunset light and adjust the color synthesis (RGB), to make the composition as truthful as possible.
